Press and policy diagram

What's the story?

When I started out in the business of world-changing, I was advising people to solve their individual problems - from housing to debts. I realised that my heart lay in social policy as I wanted to change the bigger picture. I moved into a press and policy role and drew this diagram to explain my passion for world-changing with other people, and to show how they could work with me to help do this.

Scottish welfare fund

What's the story?

Policy and legislation can be confusing. An example of this would be the Scottish Welfare Fund: when it was originally introduced a lot of it went unclaimed. I surveyed people to understand their barriers to using the Fund (lack of awareness? Understanding?). Using this information, I made a display wall showing the relevant information and processes to follow. Clear, visual and easy-to-read on a tea break!

Wall of Fame

What's the story?

A way for bring people on board is to always communicate back ‘wins’ that they have had an influence over. I used to write press releases and gain coverage about social issues - issues that I would not have known about unless my amazing volunteers shared information with me. I created this Wall of Fame, with highlighted sections of our mentions, to ensure volunteers knew that they were having an impact.
